Just watched the 7:30 Report on ABC1 tonight. Had a terrific article on the water flooding into Lake Eyre.

It all looked absolutely beautiful. It will probably be too late for us when we come back from QLD about late Nov/early Dec so I'm glad my 8 cents got spent on the ABC chopper going out to take such beautiful pictures.

Even had some shots inside the Birdsville pub. Was that you I saw in there Ruth?

I'm glad I ain't too scared to be lazy

Watched the show also, it will be interesting to see how long the water last. There was some amazing footage and have noticed that a lot of members are going to have a look[lucky buggars]. You never know there might be some water left on your way back from Qld.

Most people would have got a better view by watching 7.30 report than if they actually visted the area in person. Best advice, save your money, as the only way to see the vastness of it all is from the air. A costly undertaking after having spent heaps just to get there.

I disagree.
I flew over the lake from William Creek when it last filled about 8 years ago.
It was a sight to see, the pilot was a wealth of information, and it was money well spent.I would advise anyone to take the flight as you might not get another chance
